It’s a huge month of events—and even as the DESIGN Canberra Festival starts to end, there’s still plenty to do.

Want to transform your home into your ideal haven? Then you might need this. Interior designer Vanessa Hawes will be sharing design insights on how you can change your home into multi-use spaces, perfect for our (very) busy lives.
Answering any and all questions, it’s the perfect chance to get some expert advice (and enjoy some light refreshments).

On Country tour of Mount Majura with Tyronne Bell

Join guide and local Ngunnawal traditional custodian Tyronne Bell in exploring the stunning, natural landscape of Mount Majura.
Along the tour, Tyronne will interpret the landscape pointing out the area’s natural resources and how Aboriginal people expertly used these as well as artefacts, bush foods, and a scar tree—discussing their traditional uses and cultural significance.

Live music, art installations, and a cold drink in the BentSpoke Beer Garden—name a better way to end the DESIGN Canberra Festival and spend a Sunday afternoon?
Bringing The Jetty alive (under a large weatherproof marquee), enjoy wine and cocktail bars, The Jetty Café, the Fricken Chicken food truck, and a pop-up from local retailers Arch + Ode. There will also be plenty of art installations and exhibitions in the Contemporary Art Space to enjoy.

Contemporary Architecture Tour: Crace Eclectic House by Megaflora

Located on a steep block in one of Canberra’s newer greenfield suburbs, nothing within the walls of this house is ‘ordinary’ or off-the-shelf.
Head along on this tour to join Daniel Fitzpatrick of Megaflora Project to explore how this house became a mashup of art deco and mid-century design—making it one of Canberra’s extraordinary houses.

Creative Kids: Bush animal weaving with artist Ronnie Jordan from Culture on The Move

Empowering children aged three and up to connect with the cultural traditions of the oldest living culture in the world, this workshop is a fun, hands-on experience.
Taught by Ronnie Jordan—a Kalkadoon Pitta Pitta woman—kids will create their own woven bush animal while learning about Indigenous culture.
