The iconic Canberra paddle boats are back, and we couldn’t be more excited!
Head down memory lane to Regatta Point jetty to see the crew at Capital Paddle and relive, renew or create for the first time, those iconic paddleboat memories as you peddle your way around the heart of Canberra.
Open from 10 am on weekends and 11 am on weekdays (weather dependant), hiring a paddleboat is the perfect chance to explore our magical lake while getting a little exercise.
If you work up a sweat (which is hard to do as these boats are so easy to use), cool off a little as you pass through the mist from the Captain James Cook Memorial Jet.

How does a picnic onboard your own boat as you explore the lake sound?
GoBoats offers the perfect opportunity to hang out with friends (or a romantic date anyone?) while taking in the serenity of Canberra as you explore the lake from a different angle.
Make yourself a picnic or order some delicious food and beverages from GoBoat Catering and enjoy your spoils as you sit at the 8-person built-in picnic table.
And the best part? You are in control, and no boat licence or previous boating experience is required.
Operation is simple, and an ultra-quiet, smooth electric motor power the boats. Serene in more ways than one.

Take to the waters of Lake Burley Griffin and test your balance on board a Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) Board—don’t worry, these boards are designed for standing and make the experience a whole lot easier than you can imagine.
The Paddle Hub has ample SUP boards available for hire however if you prefer a seated watercraft, kayaks are also available for hire.
If you need a lesson, Stand Up Paddle Canberra is a great way to learn. Grab a board, single or double kayak and explore the pristine waters of the lake and take in the stunning views of the surrounding city.
