Feel like the world is fu*cked? Hannah Ferguson is here to guide you through it

Posted on

There’s no polite way to put it – it feels like the world is f*cked.

From the climate crisis to Palestine, the cost-of-living crisis to political divides, Trump being…Trump…and the ever-present backdrop of everything else (racism, violence, sexism, homophobia, and transphobia) all constantly filling our news feeds, it’s no wonder everyone is in desperate need of a laugh. And maybe a glass of wine. Or two.

But that’s where Hannah Ferguson comes in – and she has plans to reaffirm your hope for humanity.

As the co-founder of Cheek Media Co, bestselling author, Forbes 30 under 30 honouree, Big Small Talk podcast co-host and youth media literacy icon (her cutting political analysis currently reaches three million Australians every month), Hannah has quickly risen as one of Australia’s brightest minds in the media.

Making waves with her goal to make politics digestible and engaging for young people while challenging the legacy media landscape in Australia, Hannah is returning to Canberra after a headline-making National Press Club address earlier this year – and being named “one of the most influential young women in Australia”.

But unlike the National Press Club address, CHEEK LIVE: Everything is F*cked will be blending sharp political commentary and comedy – and in all honesty, it’s what we need right now.

Focusing on catharsis, celebration, and the chance to vent and perhaps laugh off the anxiety of the modern news cycle, CHEEK LIVE: Everything is F*cked comes off the back of her 2024 tour – a live show that talked taboos, the year in review and the upcoming Australian election. Now, a year (and an even more heinous news cycle) later, she’s hitting the road once again armed with analysis, opinions, a moral compass and a microphone.

With plans to be joined by some very special guests, she says that it will be a night of insight and hilarity.

“If the news also makes you want to crawl into a hole, instead come for a night out with progressive people to have a laugh and decompress,” she says.

“Donald Trump would call this show the worst show he’s ever seen, very bad, from an angry, dangerous woman.”

Dissecting where we are, how we got here, what lies ahead, and the power we have to influence change, from geopolitical chaos to absurdities in daily life, nothing will be off-limits from this woman who loves advocating for social change (and vibrators).

Go for a wine, a laugh and be part of a campaign to make empathy great again from one of Australia’s most bold and unapologetic forces.
