Free tattoos, live music, and more: POP Canberra is relaunching, and you’re invited to the party

It’s one of Braddon’s most beloved boutiques, but now POP Canberra has a fresh new look – and they’re holding a massive party to celebrate.
Inviting Canberra to come and get festive with them, on Saturday 23 November from 10 am until 3 pm, they’ll bring the birthday vibes with massive discounts, a t-shirt giveaway, free food and drink, and live music.
But – because POP Canberra doesn’t do anything by halves – they’ll also be offering a free tattoo with every purchase in-store. And we’re not talking about a cheeky temporary tattoo.
Collaborating with Outkast Tattoo Co, from 11 am the tattoo gun will be buzzing at POP and permanently inking Canberrans with their flash tattoo of choice. Think: the original POP logo, a ‘Howdy’ version, a ‘Thirsty’ version, and a ‘Winky’ version. All you need to do is purchase something at POP, get your tattoo card, and wait your turn in line. Just make sure to get in early to secure a spot!
Just think of the cool origin story your tattoo will have – especially if it’s your first time getting ink.
Also offering 15 per cent off store-wide (hello Christmas present shopping) and a chance to grab yourself a locally printed POP T-shirt (there’s only 50, so it’s first come, first served) and lucky door prizes, there will be plenty to enjoy.
But there’s more: during the day POP will also be announcing their next move – a national expansion starting with Melbourne in early 2026.
“This rebrand is about celebrating the work of small businesses and local makers across the country,” explains Gabe Trew, founder of POP Canberra.
“There’s a bigger demand than ever for high-quality, Australian-made products, and POP is excited to bring that to more communities as we expand Australia-wide, supporting local wherever we go.”

Established in 2018 as a way for local makers and artists to showcase their wares, this POP party is not only about good times and good vibes, but it’s a great way to support and celebrate all things local.
