Tucked into a quiet pocket of northern Canberra, Hall is often unfairly overlooked.

But spend an hour – or as we recommend, a whole day – in this picturesque little outpost and you’ll find there’s a lot to love.

From boutique gifts to wine, art and even the perfect doughnut, there’s so much to eat, see and do in Hall – and all a stone’s throw from central Canberra.

Kynefin (pronounced kin-ev-an) is Welsh for one’s habitat or a place where you feel comfortable and familiar. That’s exactly how you feel when you walk Kynefin in Hall. It’s warm and homely and nearly all the food is made in house by Geoff (the owner) including cakes, breads, jams and chutneys, chai and hot chocolate blends and more.

Before opening Kynefin, Geoff was well known on Canberra’s market circuit for his Bombolini Doughnuts. Which of course, you can now find at Kynefin!

British-influenced food Geoff makes nearly everything in-house, including his bombolini doughnuts, cakes, breads, jams and chutneys, chai and hot chocolate blends and more.
