This safari-style yoga session is here to shake up your Saturday

Posted on

Get ready to take your usual yoga session to the wild side—the National Zoo and Aquarium is hosting the ultimate safari-style stretch and savasana session.

Here to shake up your Saturday, Wild Yoga! is roaring into Canberra’s cutest cultural institution to raise money for Give Me 5 For Kids—a local charity that works to improve the lives of sick kids in the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children—while offering the chance relax with the rhinos and greet the sun with a giraffe.

Taking place from 9:30 am on Saturday 20 May, not only does their unique yoga session offer an opportunity to see the animals from a new point of view (like a downward dog), but at just $80 a ticket the best part is money raised will be going directly towards the Canberra Hospital Foundation to help improve the lives of sick kids and their families.

Raising funds for equipment, therapeutic programs, and more—don’t worry if you don’t actually know your lotus pose from a lemur—the session will be suitable for people of all ages and abilities, promising an easy yoga flow to start the morning.

Once done, there will also be plenty of hot drinks and breakfast items to snack on as well as the opportunity to take home a free MIX106.3 yoga mat so you can continue your practice at home (minus the giraffes and rhinos of course).

With limited spots available, get in quickly—you don’t want to miss this wild experience.
