Bloom | Eggpicnic
‘Bloom’ explores the persistence of life under pressure. In a time shaped by colonisation, human conflict and the consequences of climate change inaction, it draws attention to animals that survive within fragile and changing environments.
The exhibition brings together species from across the world, chosen for the lives they lead. These animals reveal how closely human actions shape the conditions in which life persists.
‘Bloom’ honours the lives of animals, plants and fungi. It also holds space for hope, recognising the responsibility humans carry to protect the conditions that allow life to flourish.
Ultimately, it asks what it means to coexist in an uncertain world and what responsibilities arise when we recognise that human futures are inseparable from the lives of other species.
‘Bloom’ will open alongside ‘Shorelines’ by Helen Brancatisano, Miriam Cullen, Trish Yates, ‘Sentient’ by Elliott Fox, and ‘Partial Index’ by Dörte Conroy.
