It might have only been open for a year, but Sundays in Bondi has taken social media by storm, seeing the tiny bakery make headlines for consistently selling out of the two things they specialise in: cinnamon scrolls and matcha lattes.
It’s not an uncommon sight to see hundreds of customers queuing for upwards of an hour every Thursday to Sunday. But for those unable (or unwilling) to make the trip just to try a sweet treat, we’ve found the best places in Canberra for your cinnamon scroll hit.

Gluten-free cinnamon scroll seekers don’t have to miss out. Freed Me GF Bakery has created a coeliac-friendly version of the classic cinnamon scroll, complete with layers of impossibly buttery, laminated dough, swirled with real cinnamon sugar and filled with a smooth vanilla custard.

As well as a classic cinnamon scroll that’s soft, sweet, spiced and covered in cream cheese icing, Natalie also bakes some special flavours that include pistachio, ube and maple pancake.
Make sure to keep an eye out for the special monthly releases like blueberry cheesecake and dulce de leche. Simply choose from a box of four or eight, pick up to two flavours and send her a DM to secure your scrolls.
