Braddon’s Senn Noods will be serving up noodles spicier than your DMs

Posted on

Coming in hot to the courtyard of Braddon’s NIBU building, Laos Thai street food joint Senn Noods will soon be serving up noodles spicier than your DMs.

Guaranteed steamy noods? We’re in.

Infusing the rich history of Lao and Thai flavours with the electric spirit of street food culture, the new eatery is a passion project and brainchild of Becky Khanthavongsa, the creative force behind Lonsdale Street’s much-loved Zaab. And yes, we’ve been told there there will be bagged cocktails.

Based on the same foundation of sharing exceptional food with friends and family, the venue will mirror the vibrant and bustling streets of Southeast Asia right in the heart of Braddon, perfect for catching up for the chance to laugh, share, and indulge. And with a cheeky and adventurous spirit, playfully named after “senn” which translates to noodles in both Lao and Thai, it promises to be a casual venue that will be great for any kind of hook-up.

“Zaab’s offering has evolved over the years, and we saw the opportunity to take the concept back to the streets,” says Becky.

“This concept will be a lot more casual. A no-frills kind of vibe with a big focus on late-night feeds on the weekends. And, for all the people wondering – you’ll be able to get your favourite Pad Thai fix at Senn Noods.”

Serving street food daily, the menu will combine old favourites with new tastes – and the promise that whatever you order, it will always satisfy (unlike your dodgy hookup). Thriving on pushing boundaries with their quick and satisfying noodles, you’ll be able to give into temptation soon to try it for yourself.

Locals are invited to experience this saucy new spot for themselves as the public launch event (with the date to be announced on their socials soon) that will see the NIBU courtyard come alive with a DJ, menu sampling and spicy noodle eating competition (not for the faint hearted).

And from the streets to the sheets, for those lucky enough to be in neighbouring suburbs, Senn Noods will be available for delivery on Uber Eats.
