The warm aroma of melted chocolate filling the air; decadent treats covering every shelf; chocolate artists working their magic behind the counter; the Max Brenner chocolate experience will be enjoyed by countless more chocolate-loving, artistic design-craving Canberra locals with the opening of Max Brenner’s newest Chocolate Bar in the lively and ultra-modern Nishi building at NewActon.

Just in time for winter, the new Max Brenner Chocolate Bar will open on Saturday 5 July 2014 spreading Max Brenner’s world famous philosophy that celebrates chocolate, romance, nostalgia and indulgence.

The newest addition – located in the sustainable designed, Nishi building – will be the third Chocolate Bar in Canberra joining the beloved chocolate hubs in Kingston Foreshore and Belconnen. Just to tempt locals further, this brand new Chocolate Bar will be offering the highly anticipated new menu; the first major menu relaunch in five years.

The visually beautiful Nishi building is one of Australia’s most environmentally sustainable; with the commercial facade wrapped in more than 40 kilometres of sustainable Australian Blackbutt timber louvers. Visitors to Nishi can also feast their eyes on two intriguing sculptural works made of recycled consumer materials by New York-based artist Steven Siegel. Now not only can Canberrans have their chocolate cravings fulfilled at this new urban location, they can also satisfy their appetite for art exhibitions, intimate music gigs and dance performances in the highly active art and culture scene that the award-winning NewActon precinct offers.

“We are committed to satisfying every chocoholic’s dreams by creating the perfect treat for any occasion.” Max Brenner General Manager, Yael Kaminski says. “Canberrans have warmly embraced us since we first opened in the Nation’s Capital in 2010, and we are really excited to be able to continue sharing our unique chocolate culture in the heart of Australia”.

From the perfectly creamy Hot Chocolate first poured in 2000, Max Brenner has distinguished itself as the go-to destination for chocolate lovers nationwide. With a fun and playful atmosphere and a choc-tastic, mouth-watering menu, the latest Max Brenner experience will be the perfect destination to fight off the winter chills and warm Canberra locals from the inside.

And to celebrate the opening there will be a delicious chocolate breaking ceremony on opening day! From 11:30am visitors will be invited to take to a humongous chocolate block with a chisel to carve away a sample of Max’s classic milk chocolate. But chocoholics will need to be quick so they don’t miss out!
