Did someone say a six-course dessert and drink degustation? Life just got a whole lot sweeter

Posted on

We have some sweet news for dessert lovers: there’s a six-course dessert and drink degustation coming to Canberra.

It’s something those with a sweet tooth have only dreamed of, but now the home of some of Canberra’s best cutting-edge cuisine (and waterfront views) is making it a reality with their most decadent offering yeta dessert degustation.

Taking place on Monday 15 August from 7 pm, The Boat House is tempting us to give into our vices and enjoy an evening of indulgence as they explore the sweeter side of life with a six-course menu only featuring desserts.

Starting with two courses of canapes (which include The Boat House lamington and the decadent combination of bergamot orange, early grey, and white chocolate in a Choux au Craquelin) and a pairing of a tongue-tingling French 75 cocktail, guests will then be seated for an intimate meal of four unique desserts—including a Coconut dynasty (coconut, pandan crémeux almond sponge) and Cocoa-Coma (dark chocolate mousse, caramelised bannofee and burnt white chocolate sauce).

All with carefully matched alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage options (Cocoa-Coma and espresso martini anyone?) and handcrafted by pastry chef JC Lua, the exceptional menu features notes from classic French dishes, as well as flavours from Asia.

Promising an indulgent and unique night out, for $140 per person we recommend giving into temptationeveryone knows that there’s a separate stomach for dessert, so why not fill it with some of Canberra’s best sweet gourmet offerings?
