Mr. PAPA: bringing a taste of Peru to Canberra
Peruvian food has been THE latest food ‘thing’ in the US for a year or…
Neither did we, but you can bet your macaroni we’re excited. Hosted every Tuesday evening from 5.45 pm at Amici, Bottomless Pasta night features all-you-can-eat hearty pasta dishes a la nonna for just $25 per person.
Tonight you can enjoy Fettucini Carbonara – Guanciale, cracked pepper, egg, Parmigiano Reggiano, and on Tuesday July 5 they’ll be dishing up Spaghetti Caponata with baby spinach and pecorino – Italian style ratatouille, tomato sugo, baby spinach and pecorino. Personally, we’re hanging out for Pappardelle Ox Tail Ragu – slow braised ox tail, pappardelle pasta, Grana Padano, on 12 July. Yum.
Want a bit of spice in your sauce? 19 July dishes up Cacio e Pepe – pecorino Romano, cracked black pepper, and spaghetti, and we round out the month with Spaghetti Bolognese – veal & pork, tomato sugo, pangritata, Grana Padano
Naturally, bookings are recommended, with tables tending to fill fast, although walk-ins are welcome.
Looks like we’ll have to spaghetti (sorry) to Amici next Tuesday…
