Founded in 2015 by mother-daughter duo Jenny and Jess, homestyle baking and community are at the heart of Daughters at Hall.
Using only the freshest local ingredients in recipes that have been handed down through the generations, Jenny and Jess create scrumptious masterpieces of baking, with visitors treated to an ever-changing array of cakes, slices, muffins, tarts and scones. But that’s just the beginning.
In addition to their sweet treats, Daughters at Hall also offers breakfast and lunch, and a sweet little provedore that stocks everyday essentials as well as locally-made treats such as Homeleigh Grove olive oil, Wagonga coffee beans and their very own range of jams and preserves. And trust us, it’s well worth the (very short) drive.
“We want the people of Canberra to come and experience all Hall has to offer,” says Jess. “Daughters pride itself on its comfortable, home-like atmosphere with hearty meals to suit everyone’s cravings.”
“Hall is only a short drive from the centre of Canberra and as soon as you enter Victoria Street you feel as though you have driven hours to the main street of a small country town.”
Home to a number of boutiques and restaurants, Hall is an ideal destination for a day out, as well as the start point for the famous One Tree Hill walking trail.
Besides, adds Jenny, “why not treat yourself to a coffee and cheesecake after you’ve burnt all those calories on the walk?”
Naturally, Daughters at Hall has COVID-safe measures in place, including contactless ordering of their menu for takeaway to be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home.
