Frosé and lake views? Don’t mind if we do.

Frosé, pizza and DJs, these are a few of our favourite things – and you can find all three at Margot Bar this summer.

Introducing Canberra to the delish summer fave that is frosé (that’s frozen rosé for the uneducated), Canberra’s little slice of Paris on the lake isn’t stopping there, adding house-made wood-fired pizza and DJ sets from DJ Brother J to its summer lineup, just in time for festive catch ups.

One of Canberra’s newest al fresco bars, Margot is helmed by industry stalwarts James Souter (The Boat House) and Nick Tyrell (GoBoat) who know a thing or two about what Canberrans like.

“The team has been planning for summer since the middle of winter, and we’re really excited to launch the expanded menu from our extra pop-up bar, as well as a great DJ to keep the vibes cool,” says James.

“A lot of work has gone into it, and we’re confident it will hit the spot for those chilled-out summer afternoons and evenings.”

According to Nick, Margot’s frosé recipe has undergone strenuous testing to nail a Goldilocks formula for this iconic cocktail.

“We’ve been testing the recipe for the frosé for months to get it just right, and the response has been incredible when we’ve done taste-testing with guests,” he says.

“With its base of genuine French Rosé, the texture of a slushie and its bright pink colour, it really is set to be the iconic drink of this long hot summer.”

Margot’s new summer food menu features house-made wood-fired pizza and the addition of charcuterie to their beloved cheese boards while DJ Brother J will be playing Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4 pm. Bookings are recommended to avoid disappointment.
