Seven foodie events to fill your November

Posted on
Looking for something appetising to do this month?
It might be the atmosphere, or it might just be the unique offerings, but a designated foodie event just hits different. Luckily, for those hungry for something new to do, this month there are seven events to put into your calendar.
We’re talking about eating your way through The Forage, indulging in the delicious collaboration between QT and Space Kitchen and heading along to Pialligo Estate to enjoy the first public event since Anthony Whitehouse took over operations.
Here’s where you’ll be eating and drinking this month in Canberra.
The Canberra & Region Wine Show – Tasting Experience
This is no ordinary wine-tasting event. In fact, it’s an exclusive opportunity to sniff, swirl and savour the entire range of entries in this year’s Canberra and Region Wine Show. We’re talking over 300 wines (including just-announced winners).
Plus – along with the two-hour tasting experience – there will be hundreds of bottles of wine and delicious snacks available to make it a truly unmissable experience for any wine lover. We’ll raise a glass to that.
Friday 8 November, 6 pm – 8 pm | Terrace Restaurant, Exhibition Park in Canberra, Flemington Road, Mitchell | Book here.
QTea High Tea x Space Kitchen
There’s no cucumber sandwich in sight at this high tea experience. And you better get excited because QT has partnered with Space Kitchen in what might be the most delicious collaboration ever.
Taking their high tea offering to the next level, the QTea High Tea x Space Kitchen experience is all about indulgence – from the sweet to the savoury. Lock eyes with Canberra’s first cake trolley featuring Space Kitchen cakes, choose from 28 teas (along with the prettiest of cocktails featuring special brews) and dig into tiers of treats that include Wagyu bresaola bites and picture-perfect serves of duck liver parfait for a decadent dining experience.
From Saturday 9 November and every Saturday after, with sittings at 12 pm and 12.30 pm | 1 London Circuit, City | Book here.
The Forage
For 10 years The Forage has been keeping us very well fed, and to celebrate their holding a very special pop-up at Mount Majura Vineyard.
Transforming the winery grounds into a vibrant showcase of local food and beverage vendors, live entertainment, you’ll find everything from old favourites to new experiences. Head along to sample some of Canberra’s best street food, crafted by passionate local vendors, take part in Cheese & Wine and Cheese & Gin masterclasses, take a tour through the vineyard and more.
With something for the whole family (including lawn games and entertainment for the kids), you won’t regret hitting the road and heading to wine country this weekend.
Saturday 9 November, 12 pm – 7 pm | Mount Majura Vineyard, 88 Lime Kiln Road, Majura | Book here.
La Fiesta
Loco for Latin food? Hold onto your sombrero because Canberra’s Latin American festival will be bringing the City Centre to life.
Full of energy, music, and art, make sure to check out the live music and dance performances and the special exhibition of Latin American art. And with plenty of opportunities to try the flavours of Latin America, it will truly be a sensory delight.
Tacos and margaritas anyone?
