Over 5,000 bottles will be uncorked this June as the nation’s top wine experts come to town.

Taking place from Friday 13 until Sunday 15 June, the National Wine Festival of Australia will transform Canberra into a treasure trove of Australia’s finest drops.

Marking the 50^th birthday of the National Wine Show of Australia, this brand-new event will feature three days of masterclasses, tastings and meet-the-maker experiences all under one roof at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra.

And whether you’re just discovering your palate or can pick a Shiraz from a Saperavi blindfolded, there’s something for everyone, with every masterclass curated and led by one of the country’s top wine minds.

In An Introduction to Wine Tasting, learn to spot fruit, oak and spice like a pro. In Wines of the Future find out how our drinking habits are changing as a result of climate change, innovation and evolving consumer tastes. Take a journey through the famous wine regions of the Mediterranean with wine judge, writer and presenter Erin Larkin, or – for those keen for a rare peek behind the judging curtains – National Wine Show Chair of Judges Matt Harrop’s session on what set this year’s trophy winners apart is a must.

If that’s not enough to twist your arm, more than 5,000 bottles of wine will be opened for tasting, including this year’s National Wine Show top trophy winners. With some bottles valued at more than $200, it’s incredible value for money.
