Been missing your fix of food and good vibes from Mork and Benn Ratanakosol? You won’t have long to wait until they open the doors to their new venture, Mínima.

Putting down roots at Yarralumla shops, the “ tiny and intimate space” is due to open in early July.

The Forage celebrates its 10th birthday with new location

The Forage is headed waterside to celebrate its 10th birthday on 22 June.

While the vendor line-up is yet to be released, it’ll be a cracking taste of local street food if past winter Forages are anything to go by.

Rug up and get along to Acton Waterfront from 12 noon til 7pm.

Oozy Boozy Cheese and Wine Market

A cheese and wine market…where have you been all our lives!? A winter event to dive into nose first and presented in partnership with Le Cheeserie the Oozy Boozy Cheese and Wine Market will deliver a marketplace of sensory delights from 7-10 June.

Roam the stalls filled with waxy, vintage goods all from local cheese and wine merchants. Nibble on some sharp local feta and churn your way through some gooey camembert. And while you’re there, sip on and bottle up some grape wine selections.

New names at Westfield Woden

Betty’s Burgers is set to open its second ACT venue in Woden Westfield very soon. It joins crowd favourite Lim Peh’s Wonton Noodles, who have just finished their run at Verity Lane Market in the city. Stay tuned for news on opening dates!

Canberra Cocktail among the world’s best

Brett Nebauer, bar manager with Onzieme and 11e Cave, is the only Australian to be shortlisted in Difford’s Guide Hayman’s The Original Gin 2024 competition which called for the creation of new contemporary classics that could be made anywhere in the world, with easily available ingredients..

On 12 June, we’ll find out if his Sloe Scarlet – “a little blackthorn tribute to autumn” – makes the final 15 cocktails that Hayman’s Brand Ambassador will make for the judges assembled at Hayman’s Distillery for the competition final.

Pop-Ups Galore

Campbell’s contemporary fine-diner Peonee will be welcoming chefs from adventurous Asian eatery Canteen in Dairy Road for a one-night-only collaboration dinner on Wednesday, 24 July. Keep an eye on the Peonee website for more details and tickets.

Project Enoki X Myanmar Corner are teaming up to present RANGOON on 30 June, with Chef Gerald Ong joining forces with Chef Kyaw Swe Ko to explore culinary diversity within Burmese and Singaporean heritage. The prix fixe menu will feature traditional flavours in a modern context. Tickets sales at sourdogprovisions.com.

SO and SO is an event hosted once a month at Such and Such to showcase what hospitality in Canberra and surrounds have to offer. This Sunday 9 June, Holly and Noora from Pilot will be showing off their talents for one day only. Pop along for some drinks and snacks in a relaxed atmosphere. Book online or try your luck walking in on the day.

Paranormal x Ravensworth Wines

Join the team from Campbell’s Paranormal Wines on Thursday 13 June for an exclusive dinner with Bryan Martin of Ravensworth Wines to celebrate the release of their 2022 Estate wines.

Chef Reece Inkpen will be serving up a six-course meal to match the new releases, utilising some of Bryan’s own produce from the Ravensworth farm.

Collector Wines’ pop-up Curtin cellar door

Curtin’s Two Blind Mice will become Collector Wines pop-up cellar door until Sunday 9 June.

Pouring six whites, seven reds, a sparkling and a rose – all by the glass – the whole wine list will be theirs. You’ll also find some specials that aren’t available for customers to buy at the bottle shop.
