Tallagandra Hill Winery

Tallagandra Hill is a small family-owned winery and is located in the premium wine producing Canberra District.

Known for its cool climate wines, Tallagandra currently produces single vineyard wines made from Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, Vermintino and Viognier.

As well as their wine tastings, you can also choose from the ‘wine bar’ style food options in the way of tasting platters matched perfectly with their wines. Enjoy a charcuterie platter or a white or red wine matched cheese platter.

Dine in the beautiful outdoor courtyard that also has a children’s play area where you can relax while the kids are kept entertained! Or book a table inside the cellar door area. There’s also an open fire for those cooler months.

Situated in a historic stone building constructed in 1848 as a church and school, Old Saint Luke’s Studio and Gallery displays the wood-fired ceramics of Ian Jones and Moraig McKenna. The works are fired in a 9-metre long “anagama” style wood-fired kiln.

The kiln is only fired three times per year and each firing lasting for five days. Twice each year the firings are followed by a garden exhibition in which the new work is presented.

Visitors are welcome to visit the gallery when the signs are out, or by appointment by calling 0413 301 918.
