From the minute you start planning your wedding, you’re faced with an abundance of choices.

Indoor or outdoor reception? Band or DJ? Cake or dessert bar?

Thankfully, help is at hand for brides and grooms-to-be with the Canberra Wedding Fair, kicking off at the Australian Institute of Sport on 24 February.

Designed to help guests create their perfect occasion, the interactive fair will feature an array of ideas with more than 60 exhibitors including Pâtissez, Rex Hotel’s The Howling Moon, Blades Menswear, La Ombre Creations, Alex Pasquali Photographs, Pialligo Estate, West Row Botanica, 121 Hair and more.

Organiser Danielle Cleary of Danielle Cleary Events, says the fair will present a collaboration of new concepts, incorporating Canberra and our surrounding regions market leaders in weddings, events, travel and lifestyle in an immersive, holistic and experiential journey.

“We will put creativity at the heart of our fair planning, to captivate and engage guests,” Danielle says.

“Bringing our creative visions to life are the super talented Your Event Solution (YES) and Marley May Event Styling.”

Eat Canberra will present an experience in the outdoor Foodie Park, with The Pizza Trailer, Tikka House and The Sweet Tooth Society among the tasty offerings, along with live entertainment by the region’s best musicians and even a big white jumping castle for the kids at heart.

Former Canberran and milliner to the Stars Viktoria Novak will share her creative journey in fashion and millinery in a stage workshop hosted by MC Sarah Kelly. Since launching her label in 2006, Viktoria has become the go-to milliner for celebrities such as Jennifer Hawkins, Jesinta Franklin and Kate Waterhouse. Her workshop will include models adorned with intricate handmade crowns, paired with bridal and occasional gowns.

Campaign model Janette Wojtaszak from The Statement Life has designed an exclusive range of accessories for The Canberra Wedding Fair, and will also feature in Naomi Peris Bridal in the fair’s runway show.

“I’m excited to see the new look fair – it’s a great opportunity for businesses like myself to branch out into a different market (the wedding and events scene) and to work with talented local creatives,” Janette says.

The fair will also feature a Wellness Empowerment Collective experience, Trufitt and Hill men’s workshops, an inaugural start-up ‘Take Flight Market’ featuring local creatives to uncover and a Red Robot Industries Instaworthy cabana to escape, relax and enjoy a mocktail.

There’s also good news if you’re already dreaming of your honeymoon or holiday—all guests will get the chance to win an Outrigger Resort beachfront bliss Fiji getaway valued at $2000.
