The Canberra Rex Hotel is holding its very first Wedding Open Day and honestly, they had us at ‘complimentary wedding menu tasting’.

Making the life of anyone looking to say ‘I do’ easier—because we all know wedding planning is very, very stressful—on Sunday 13 August the Canberra Rex Hotel, home of the stunning Howling Moon bar, is opening its door for very a swoon-worthy event.

Because from hosting a variety of incredibly talented wedding vendors from around the region to showcasing their different event spaces—including the Bridal Suite—for design inspiration and offering the chance to sample catering options, the open day is perfect for anyone struggling to plan their Canberra-centric wedding.

According to the Canberra Rex Hotel Senior Sales and Events Executive Nicola Pearce, with recently renovated event spaces and accommodation rooms, it’s a great chance for couples to re-introduce themselves to the Canberra Rex Hotel.

“This open day is an exciting opportunity for our team to have the chance to talk with potential couples. As we can tailor all our wedding packages, it’s always best to chat face-to-face so that we can understand exactly what elements are important for your day,” she says.

After exploring the range of different event spaces within the hotel, including the larger ballrooms, the luxurious cocktail lounge—Swan & King—and the rooftop bar, registered visitors can also take their wedding planning to the next level with the opportunity to taste a range of menu items while enjoying a glass of sparkling and sweeping views over Canberra city.

And if you do choose to say ‘I do’ at The Rex, the team will ensure all your wedding dreams become a reality—including personalising all of the food and drink options.

“We can tailor our menus to suit a couple’s unique vision for their special day—it is really important to our team to help ensure that your day is exactly how you envisioned, and we will work with you to create a menu that suits your style and budget,” says Nicola.

“We love when our couples come to us with their unique ideas for their wedding menu, often couples will have a favourite meal or a traditional family dish that they would like to incorporate into their menu, and we work together to make that come to life!”
