Calling all fashion lovers—this might just be the career boost you need

Since opening on Lonsdale Street in Braddon in 2021, there’s no denying that Goodbyes has been injecting some serious pre-loved, high-end style into the wardrobes of second-hand shoppers.
But have you ever wanted to be the person behind the desk helping to curate these unique and stylish pieces?
Goodbyes is calling for a full time Store Manager—and it might just be the perfect career boost for anyone dreaming of working in fashion.
Giving well-made garments, shoes, and accessories a second chance at life, Goodbyes offers the chance for fashion lovers to shop and sell pre-loved clothing locally, minimising their environmental impact at the same time.
You’ll be working five days a week among the Australian and New Zealand labels, international designers, unique vintage, and well-made basics (with items from Gorman, Scanlan, and Theodore, Zimmermann, Gucci, and everything in between)—an opportunity to show off your diverse brand and textile knowledge.
In the role, you’ll not only be working with fun, caring, and creative like-minded individuals—some of whom have been with the store since the beginning—but you’ll also be curating a large range of timeless pieces in both masc and femme styles while making a positive impact within the fashion industry and the local community.
And with over 35,000 pieces recycled in Canberra to date, you know you’ll be making a genuine difference.
As the Store Manager you’ll be in charge of team training and support, driving content creation for social channels, seeking out opportunities to participate and collaborate with the local community, attending industry events, and much more—making it the perfect role for someone looking for a diverse but fun job that will keep them on their toes (while fuelling their passion for fashion).
If you need even more reasons to apply, Goodbyes offers a diverse, inclusive and supportive work environment and a great work-life balance with working hours from Tuesday to Sunday.
Whew. That’s a lot of good reasons to apply to Goodbyes.
If this sounds like you, visit goodbyes.com.au/careers read the full PD, and apply online here before Sunday 30 July.
