Everything you need to know about Revel The Runway 2026

Posted on

From the when, to the where, to what designers will be showing, here’s everything you need to know about Revel The Runway 2026.

In March 2025, Revel The Runway first strutted its stuff in Canberra, shaking up and showcasing a different side of fashion in the capital.

Conceived and created by plus-size content creator and stylist Amy Abrahams, the show celebrated diversity in style, created a platform for redefining beauty standards in the fashion industry, and made fashion accessible and relatable for everyone.

Now it’s back for 2026 – and it promises another year of boundary-breaking style.

With a new venue, and two themed runways, here’s everything you need to know about Revel The Runway, presented by The Female Leader.

What is it?

Created by Canberra stylist and body-positive advocate Amy Abrahams (also known as @wearthedamndress) Revel The Runway was inspired by the Curve Edit runway event at Sydney’s Australian Fashion Week in 2022 and Reborn The Runway, which was held in Brisbane in 2023.

A professional fashion show that challenges traditional fashion norms and showcases diverse models sized 14 to 24 – as well as works of local designers – Revel The Runway is all about celebrating style, confidence and representation on the catwalk.

It’s a joyful, high-energy runway experience focused on inclusive fashion.

“Revel the Runway is about joy, confidence and representation.” says Amy.

“Fashion should be expressive and inclusive, but too often the runway tells women they don’t belong. Revel flips that idea on its head and celebrates the women as they are.”

When and where?

This year, Revel The Runway will be held on Saturday 18 April at the Lowitja O’Donoghue Centre in the Australian National University Kambri Precinct.

Doors open at 1 pm and the runway starts at 2 pm. And with a bigger venue – and therefore more seats – it promises to be an unforgettable moment for Canberra’s fashion scene.

What’s happening?

In a sentence? A vibrant fashion event celebrating body confidence and personal style.

This year at Revel The Runway there will be two runway shows, both featuring a mix of established brands and emerging designers. Along with watching models representing a range of different sizes, ages and backgrounds walk the runway, you’ll also be able to shop the brands in person.

Following the success of the 2025 activation, you’ll once again be able to visit Shop The Runway post show, where you’ll be able to meet the makers, feel the fabrics, and snap up your favourite looks.

What’s the designer line up?

Featuring a mix of Australian labels, inclusive fashion brands and emerging designers, this year there are over 15 participating brands. Think: Philosophy Australia, Orange Sherbet, De Gail, Mama Movement, Less Common, Rose + Reggie, Alkinna and more.

With two runway categories on the day – Ready-To-Wear and Emerging & Sustainable – there will be plenty of looks to see.

What else do I need to know?

That’s pretty much everything! Make sure to stop by the pop-up bar for a refreshment, sit back and enjoy this local fashion event celebrating inclusive fashion and representation.
