First Look: HALE Aesthetics

Posted on

We take you inside the newest addition to DOMA Group’s Barton wellness precinct, HALE Aesthetics.

In 2017, DOMA Group boldly signalled their intention to establish Canberra as a wellness destination with the opening of HALE Gym and Spa in the heritage-listed Brassey Hotel. Almost eight years on, HALE Spa has become the city’s premier day spa, with spots booked out for months in advance.

Now the next step in the evolution of the HALE brand is nigh, with HALE Aesthetics set to open on Monday 28 October in the Belmore Gardens North Wing of the Brassey. Combining luxury wellness with cutting-edge aesthetic treatments, the clinic’s focus is on offering clients the latest in invasive and non-invasive treatments while maintaining a holistic focus on skin.

The purpose-built renovation blends historic charm with DOMA’s signature luxe minimalism, achieving clinical precision with spa-like tranquillity. Abundant natural light, calming neutral tones, and views over the Brassey’s green spaces add to the serenity while the entry (and exit) via the secluded Belmore Gardens ensures privacy.

The clinic features eight oversized private rooms – each equipped with state-of-the-art technology for non-invasive cosmetic treatments. These rooms have been designed with comfort in mind, featuring plush treatment beds, soft linens and soothing music.

Adjacent to the treatment rooms are dedicated ‘numbing’ rooms (complete with chaise lounge and oversized work desk for those who want to maximise every spare moment) where clients can comfortably prepare for procedures that require pre-treatment or relax afterwards.

It comes as little surprise to learn that HALE Aesthetics has been developed under the guiding eye of HTNK Advisory’s Suzie and Alex Hoitink – well known for growing Canberra’s Clear Complexions Clinics into the city’s leading skin clinic prior to the brand’s sale in 2019.

Jessica Haylan, Head of Spa and Wellness with HALE Aesthetics, worked alongside Suzie for a number of years and has brought together a team of experienced clinicians, including 20-year industry veteran Senior Dermal Clinician Kristy Stephenson.

Jessica describes the clinic’s approach as ‘regenerative aesthetics’ – the idea of enhancing skin using advanced skincare technologies, dermal therapies, and other high-performance modalities.

“HALE Aesthetics aims to deliver personalised, results-driven treatments in a tranquil setting – blending science, innovation, and luxury,” says Jessica.

“All clients start their journey with a one-hour consultation with our expert team where we use state-of-the-art technology to look beneath the skin’s surface to create a tailored and holistic plan that ensures results-driven treatments.”

The team has invested in some of the latest technology including Alma Hybrid – the latest CO2 fractionated resurfacing laser – and Aerolase, which targets redness, pigmentation and general rejuvenation by stimulating collagen production. RATIONALE products and treatments are used for complete skin health and luminous skin.

Jessica says it’s this combination of luxury with advanced aesthetic care that makes HALE Aesthetics unique.

“The overall goal is to offer a curated experience where clients feel both rejuvenated and transformed, with services that cater to their skincare needs, wellness goals, and personal aesthetic aspirations.”
