Ok, so some of these events aren’t technically Christmassy, and some aren’t technically markets. But they’re all a great use of your weekend!
Canberra Potters Christmas Fair
Showcasing creativity and craftmanship, this week long Christmas market is not to be missed. Perfect for those who want a handmade touch to their gifts this year, you’ll find plenty of special (and locally-made) unique ceramic art and pottery.

Handmade Christmas Market

AIATSIS Indigenous Art Market
Support the ethical purchase of authentic Australian Indigenous art. This is the largest Indigenous art market in the Canberra region and it has also become a popular online event, showcasing a diverse range of paintings, textiles, sculptures and much more. But more importantly, 100 per cent of sales from the art market goes back to Indigenous art centres, artists and their communities.

Little Burley’s Big (Christmas) Bash
This year The Little Burley Markets has decided to run a Christmas Bash and you’re invited! There will be 80 stalls showcasing their local designs on the banks of the lake – think artists, jewellers, fashion, homewares, food and beverages. There really will be something for everyone!
