Style maven Sarah Kelly is selling her wardrobe and give us all the Chanel, Gucci, and Prada

Fashion lovers, this one is for you. This weekend, grab your shopping bags and ready your credit cards—Canberra’s very own style maven Sarah Kelly is selling her beloved (and very beautiful) wardrobe.

Run, don’t walk. Because over the years the fashion writer, emcee, stylist, and President of Karinya House has built a collection Carrie Bradshaw would sell her soul (and Manolo Blahniks) for—and it’s all for sale as Sarah prepares to move to Brisbane for a new adventure at the end of the year.

“Having accumulated a wardrobe over many years that I have truly loved, I had to get a storage unit to store my pre-loved pieces. It seemed too overwhelming to try and sell each piece individually online!” says Sarah.

“So, I thought having a clothing sale before I move away would be an opportunity to move many beautiful pieces all at once and give them a new home.”

Taking place this Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 December at the Narrabundah Community Hall, Sarah will be emptying her overflowing storage unit that’s homed beautiful pieces that she’s collected over a decade—including coveted designer brands like Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Louboutin, Versace and more.

And that’s just the international designers. You’ll also find AJE, Camilla and Marc, Zimmerman, Carla Zampatti, Dion Lee, and Sass & Bide (to name a few Australian designers) along with more than 20 other labels.

“The majority of the pieces date back over the last five to 10 years,” says Sarah.

“Many of the pieces in my wardrobe are very special and have such significant memories attached to them, so these I’m choosing to keep—for want of a better word—for my own archives! But there are many pieces from a variety of designers that I have decided either don’t fit or are not my style as I age.”

With sizes ranging from 8 to 14, (and 39-40 in shoes) the sale will be running from 10 am until 6 pm on Saturday and from midday on Sunday until the mix of vintage, designer, high end and high-end streetwear is sold.

“I think that with the current appetite for recycled, pre-loved, and vintage fashion that it’s very timely to part with these pieces and give them a new home,” says Sarah.

“And as is often the case, it’s first in, best dressed—literally!”
