Three bewitching Canberra stores for some witchy wares

Looking for witchy wares in Canberra to conjure up a little bit of magic in your life?
With Halloween quickly approaching, your mind might be turning to all things mystical – but did you know Canberra has its very own community of those who practice various forms of witchcraft and paganism?
Whether you practice or you’re interested in learning more, here are three bewitching local businesses that make, sell, and supply everything from candles to cauldrons.
After all, there’s a little witch in all of us.
The Crystal Chalice
Canberra’s witchcraft shop for nearly 20 years, The Crystal Chalice has long been the place to go for witchy wares.
Offering a wide range of Pagan, Wiccan, Shamanic, and New Age supplies (including a range of over 600 crystals), here you can find everything from books to smudge sticks, as well as workshops.
Head along to the Niche Markets in Fyshwick or to the Ori Building in Braddon – you never know what you’ll discover.

The Sacred
Believing that magic starts in the home, The Sacred aims to provide Canberrans with a sacred space of house witchery.
Selling thoughtfully curated antique and handmade items to invite ritual and sacredness to the home, here you’ll find second-hand books, Tarot cards, incense, and organically grown tea and cleansing bundles. And that’s just the beginning.
All handmade by Australian witches (or from local and international suppliers who value organic, ethical sourcing, and sustainability), there are plenty of treasures to uncover.

Simply Magick
Launched in 2020, you might have spotted the Simply Magick stall at one of the local markets in Canberra and the surrounding region.
Inspired by nature and the simplicity of life, from candles to cauldrons, (and even carved wooden Ouija boards), everything is handmade using natural ingredients and designed to look beautiful in the home.
Also stocking some witch-themed products and knick-knacks, you can also find a select range of Simply Magick products at KAN Kreate and Co in Hall. Dare we say it’s ‘simply magical’?
