The Southside has a new Eat Street, and it can be found somewhere you might not expect – Westfield Woden.
Home to a plethora of delicious cuisines – ranging from baskets of fluffy Chinese dumplings to authentic tender koftas – bustling Corinna Street has come to life with a mouth-watering range of places to eat, and the list is only growing.
And as the shopping centre transforms into an eclectic, accessible and delicious place to stop for a meal, we thought we would do some investigating to hunt down the best eats on the street.
Here’s what you need to eat and where you can find it – you just better be prepared to pop that top button.
Au Lac Royal Vegan Cuisine

Serving some of the city’s finest and freshest Vietnamese, Au Lac is here to prove that vegan food doesn’t have to be boring. All made without dairy and no meat, at the top of your ‘To Try’ list should be the Laska, the Sizzling Soy Pepper Steak and the Soy Duck Wraps.
All superb, don’t be surprised if you take your meat-eating friends and they devour these inventive dishes – each one is so packed full of flavour that everyone will be going back for more (and then rolling out of the door).

What can be better than Dry Fried Chilli Beef, Garlic Fried Rice and steamed Chinese Broccoli with Oyster Sauce? Bringing the flavours of China to the Corinna Street Dining Precinct, at Chinese Kitchen Dumpling House you’ll feel a world away from Woden.
Try all three of the aforementioned dishes for a truly delicious Eat Street experience any night of the week – and don’t forget about the traditional dumplings, of course.
Vietnam House

This family-owned and run restaurant serves deliciously light and fresh Vietnamese food (and some of the best chicken wings we’ve had in forever).
With the best of Vietnam right at your doorstep, we’re calling it now – Southsiders need to try the Vermicelli Salad with Spring Rolls, and the Garlic and Chilli Chicken Wings.
Wash it all down with the Iced Lychee Drink and thank us later. Run, don’t walk to Vietnam House.
EDO Canteen

EDO Canteen is something of a hidden gem – but once you discover it, you’ll never forget that it’s there.
Serving fast, fresh, and modern Japanese food, you need to indulge yourself in the hearty Ramen (choose between Pork, Prawn Tempura, Veggie Tempura and Chicken Karaage), the mouth-watering Chicken Katsu and the refreshing Japanese soda.
Perfect for a quick lunch, snack, or dinner, we promise it will satisfy all your Japanese cravings.

So, what should you put in your mouth first? From the succulent Fried Chicken (with flavours ranging from Sweet Chilli, Mayonnaise and House-Made Honey Mustard) to simmering Korean BBQ Meat and Vegetable Sets and Soju, you’ll feel like you’re eating your way through the streets of Korea.

If you’re craving an authentic Turkish food experience, Turkish Pide House is the place to go – and the restaurant has just had an interior refresh, too. From house-made dips and breads to Turkish Pide with sausage, Falafel, Turkish pizza and more, the menu is hearty and packed full of Mediterranean flavours.
If you’re visiting for the first time, we have it on good authority that you can’t go past any of the Pide – and that they make for great leftovers the next day. Otherwise, the vibrant and freshly made dips will have you scraping the bottom of the bowl. Don’t say we didn’t warn you about that top button…
Zhangliang Malatang
Coming soon to the Corinna Street Dining Precinct, Zhangliang Malatang will be opening soon to bring hot pot to Eat Street and we’re very excited to get our mouths around this offering.
Never heard of hot pot? As one of China’s most popular street foods, the concept is simple: pick and mix a range of vegetables, noodles, meats, and seafood, and choose from a spicy, non-spicy, or vegetarian soup base to create your own delicious delicacy.
DIY has never sounded so good – keep an eye out to see when this hot pot hot spot opens its doors in Woden.
