Anytime Fitness Gungahlin
Perched above Central Café, you’ll find a surprisingly large Anytime Fitness packed with state-of-the-art equipment, including a body composition scanner, functional training gear, plenty of free weights and a huge collection of cardio machines. Bikram Yoga Mitchell
90 minutes, 40-degree heat, 26 poses, two breathing exercises, and one epic workout, Bikram Yoga is the ultra-sweaty, ultra-addictive yoga style that you can try at Bikram Yoga Mitchell. Despite the fact that it’s challenging, Bikram Yoga is accessible to everyone, with all levels of fitness and ability welcomed to the studio.
Owners Gill and Tracy teach with enthusiasm, compassion and encourage everyone to simply try their best. Their mantra is “it’s never too late, it’s never too bad, and you’re never too old or sick to practice yoga and start again.”
Canberra Indoor Rock Climbing
For a workout that’s a far cry from your typical gym, try your hand at Canberra Indoor Rock Climbing. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced climber, and regardless of if you’re climbing solo or with a group, the team at Canberra Indoor Rock Climbing will welcome you with open arms.
With top rope climbing, bouldering, lead climbing, group bookings and more on offer, you’re bound to find an activity you enjoy. Build strength, make friends, and gain skills and confidence. There’s also a facility in Hume if you find yourself on the south side.
CARDIOBOX has been servicing the Canberra region for more than 20 years. Their highly skilled and popular instructors will facilitate self-paced pad work drills and combinations that are suitable for a wide range of fitness levels and abilities. CARDIOBOX classes are offered year-round in blocks of 12 weeks on Mondays and Thursdays from 7-8pm at Harrison School. New starters are treated to a complimentary training session worth over $100.
