Pandemic Pilates: Your next at-home mini-workout

Posted on

“Pilates is the complete coordination of body, mind and spirit” — Joseph Pilates (founder of the Pilates movement concept).

I hope you are enjoying the Pandemic Pilates mini-workouts this month.

Simple.

Achievable.

Repeatable.

You don’t need fancy equipment to be active. Using your body weight is a wonderful way to keep fit. Pilates is the perfect pandemic movement recipe when you’re isolating at home, with minimal equipment and no instructor.

“Something is better than nothing”. Start with three exercises and work up from there. Supporting you to stay active in your comfy lounge room, is our goal.

We have purposely given you only three exercises—as it’s achievable, maintainable, time-efficient and realistic.

If you’ve recently started exercising with us, I’d recommend checking out the workouts from 2021 which are available here. We have a simple structure for this week’s mini-workout:

Pandemic Pilates: Lumbar Strength

You can print the PDF here

1) Single leg body hinge

2) Plank with alternating leg extension

3) Standing: one leg on ball with thoracic spine rotation

Remember: “something is better than nothing”. Do you have any workout requests? Let us know!

Love, Kirra
