Feel like summer wasn’t really a thing? Here’s a party to see it off in style

So, summer’s over…but does anyone feel like it didn’t even happen in the first place?

Now, I will agree that there have recently been a few days that have been perfect—over 30 degrees, blue skies, and plenty of sunshine—but with the wetter-than-average weather (and a day or two that had us digging out hoodies), it honestly feels like we’re saying goodbye to summer before we even said hello.

So, we might as well farewell summer in style.

Ending the season with a splash, waterfront Armada Bar is hosting the ultimate end-of-season party on Sunday 2 April that will take your Sunday session to a whole new level.

Bringing plenty of heat, the aptly named Your Sunday Best will see you sipping on $15 cocktails (plus one freebie on arrival), snacking on the best of Armada Bar’s summer menu, and enjoying live music and DJ sets from local legends (hello, Jack Lowman) throughout the afternoon.

And to add to the summer-y vibes (because we all know that Canberra sure as heck didn’t get enough when it was actually summer), you’ll also be able to have a boat ride on the Love Boat—a 103-year-old cruiser that will be setting sail from the Jetty at Armada.

Oh, and before we forget: make sure to dress in your Sunday best.

With tickets costing just $50 a pop, it’s the perfect excuse to take advantage of Armada Bar’s prime position on the lake’s edge, enjoy the spectacular views, and salute the sun one last time.

Hopefully, next year the weather will be a little bit better—but for now, we’ll happily say “cheers” to this seasonal soiree.
