Five road trip foodie experiences to fill your weekend

Posted on

From wine tastings, long lunches, and a Sunday roast that is anything but traditional, sometimes a trip out of town is just what your tastebuds need.

Fill your weekend with these five foodie experiences that promise to take your road trip to a whole new (and delicious) level.

Brindabella Hills Winery x Fudgemental Tasting

Head to the hills for a unique wine-tasting offering that will elevate your weekend in the best way possible.

On Saturdays Brindabella Hills partners with Fudgemental—a local premium Belgium chocolate fudge company that creates delicious morsels designed to be eaten and enjoyed with products from local vintners and distillers. Yes, we’re talking about a wine and chocolate pairing. Need we say more?

Saturdays, 10 am – 5 pm | 156 Woodgrove Cl, Wallaroo | brindabellahills.com.au

Long lunch at Poachers Pantry

Traditionally cured and smoked meats, regional produce, and native Australian ingredients—Poachers Pantry is now offering a two-course ($60 per person) and three-course ($75 per person) dining experience.

Choose your entrees, mains, and desserts (as well as a few sides like the duck fat rosemary potato with pecorino crumbs…yum). Add paired wines to make the most of it.

Friday to Sunday, from 11.45am | 431 Nanima Road Springrange NSW | poacherspantry.com.au

This isn’t your traditional Sunday roast—Moan Farm is taking it to a whole new level. On Sunday 12 March, head along to enjoy lounge beats (courtesy of DJ Pierre Demurtas), garden-inspired spritzers, and a share-style menu that features seasonal ingredients (including free-range rotisserie chicken cooked over local timbers, and French rum baba with vanilla ice cream, peach and raspberry).

Promising to be delicious, a Sunday session out of town has never sounded so good.

Sunday 12 March, 12:30 pm – 6 pm | $89 per person | 140 Little River Rd, Braidwood | monafarm.com.au
