A very indulgent High Tea Party

There’s something about high teas that are decidedly luxurious; whether it’s the indulgent sweets or champagne at two in the afternoon.

Add to that pampering, fashion shows and a bottomless prosecco bar, and you have one very special High Tea Party, to be held at The Hyatt on 15 and 16 September.

Event organiser Alison Dean says last year’s event attracted a whopping 3500 women, and this year is set for similar crowds.

To cater for demand there are four sittings to choose from on either Saturday or Sunday: 10.30, 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 4.30pm.

Alison says the ritual high tea continues to be popular with a wide range of people and occasions.

“It is inherent in our Australian culture—lovely cakes, delicate sandwiches and scones with jam and cream,” she says.

“High Tea is also such a great way to catch up with girlfriends during the day—celebrate a birthday, baby shower.  We have already sold out our VIP high tea, it has been so popular.”

At the event, guests will get to see the latest in spring style featuring fashion from local favourite Birdsnest, as well as a Bottomless Yellow Tail Prosecco Bar and pampering and retail stations.

“There will be the chance to personalise your phone or bag with Miss Monogram, as well as manicures, makeovers and bra fittings with Intimo Bra Specialists,” Alison says.

For an extra $20, guests will be able to upgrade to the Tea Garden Lounge—a space to relax and enjoy your own bar service without the queues.

“It is a unique event and covers all the things that girls just love the most all under one roof,” says Alison.

“We have been hosting across Australia for 12 years but now love to take this to our smaller markets such as Canberra to ensure all of the ladies around Australia can feel special and enjoy a gorgeous catch up with their girlfriends.”
