For all the truffle lovers, mark your calendars for Wednesday 31 July.  Truffle Nirvana at Beltana is the dinner you’ve been searching for where truffle is the star of every course.

“Truffle nirvana is all about looking for fun ways of how we enjoy truffles,” says James Souter, owner of Beltana Farm (pictured above).

They are taking the already beloved truffle and making it an experience to remember – you’ll come for the truffles and stay for the memories.

It’s the collab we didn’t know we needed: BIJI Dining pops up at Rizla

Always wanted to visit India but the timing hasn’t been right? Well in the meantime, you can taste India with BIJI Dining x Rizla, the newest pop-up taking on the streets of Braddon from Tuesday 16 to Saturday 20 July. Serving modern Indian dishes using local and Indigenous Australian ingredients, BIJI’s Harry Mangat and Rizla’s Andy Day are excited to bring a creative and delicious menu to Braddon. Walk like an Egyptian and eat like royalty at the Egyptian Winter Feast  

Following the success of the Discovering Ancient Egypt exhibition at the National Museum of Australia, comes a night of culinary and cultural celebration you do not want to miss. On Friday 2 August, Canberra’s contemporary food and beverage culture will be combined with 3000 years of Ancient Egyptian history to bring the Egyptian Winter Feast. Ravensworth Wines takes over Rebel Rebel

This is a week long celebration of wine that you won’t want to miss. Bryan Martin of Ravensworth Wines is taking over the wine list at Rebel Rebel from Monday 29 July until Sunday 4 August so you can taste the magic of his work yourself. Pouring a broad selection of wines by the glass from the extensive Ravensworth range, head along to meet Bryan in the flesh, nibble on the Rebel Rebel A La Carte and sip on some amazing wines. This is kind of a big deal for foodies: award-winning Kitchen by Mike is now at the National Gallery of Australia 

Coinciding with the Gauguin’s World: Tōna Iho, Tōna Ao World exhibition, Kitchen by Mike has opened at the National Gallery of Australia and we’re very excited.

The award winning, Sydney restaurant will provide visitors with a unique dining experience and extraordinary views of the sculpture garden and Lake Burley Griffin. Open every day from 11 am to 4 pm, the menu is a delicious mix of wood-fired meat, fish, signature salads and seasonal roasts, as well as house made cakes.

In news for those looking for a luxurious night out on a budget, Monster Kitchen and Bar is shouting a bottle of Taittinger Champagne at your next catch up. All you need to do is book a table of four or more and order the ‘Feed Me’ menu. And for those who want something a touch more indulgent, you can also upgrade to a magnum for $150.

Capital Brewing Co. branches interstate

Canberra-born brewery Capital Brewing Co has acquired Batlow Cider, so you can support local businesses by drinking beer and cider – it’s a win-win situation. Previously the cider was pressed in Batlow and fermented and packaged at various locations across New South Wales and Victoria. Now it will be pressed in Batlow, fermented and packaged in Fyshwick –significantly reducing their carbon footprint.

KOTO unveils new Omakase experience

Japanese fine diner KOTO will launch a luxe 18-course menu Omakase experience which will change nightly and be served at the open-concept sushi counter. From 29 July until 30 September, guests will be able to watch their meal being prepared by Executive Chef and Sushi Master, Shinya Nakano, with just 10 seats available each night.
