The team behind Assembly and highly acclaimed restaurant Corella are poised to breathe new life into the Sydney Building on Alinga Street.

The iconic corner that once housed Pancake Parlour is set to be transformed into three unique venues.

“The building is steeped in history and potential,” says founder of Rabble Group, Wes Heincke.

“We wanted to do something meaningful to recapture the essence of this iconic area.”

Within the trio of offerings, the ground floor space will take centre stage as Bada Bing DiningClub – a spacious split-level Italian Restaurant, boasting a nostalgic and warm fit out, prominent bar area and a versatile private dining room.

Next, Al’s Deli, a sandwich joint expected to transform week-day lunch and make a day in the office seem more appealing than WFH. With a huge focus on quality ingredients, this space will be serving up made-to-order deliciousness as well a quick premade sambo to go.

The final reveal will beFun Time Pony, a subterranean late-night rock dance-club with a “dark, grungy, and untamed ” vibe that is set to bring big name bands to Canberra.

“While we’re keeping some elements under wraps to maintain an air of anticipation, we’ve had a lot of fun with each concept and we’re thrilled to share a glimpse of what’s in store,” says Wes.

The venues are expected to open in November.
