They had us at ube-langka hot cross buns... | HerCanberra

Everything you need to know about canberra. ONE DESTINATION.

They had us at ube-langka hot cross buns…

Posted on

It’s (hot cross) bun season baby and it’s hard to beat one made by Canberra’s local bakeries. Especially when you have flavours like ube-langka.

You read that right.

Just in time for Easter, Filipino bakery and restaurant Lolo and Lola have created a special ube-flavoured hot cross bun and our mouths are watering. And with Easter only a week away (and hot cross bun eating season kicking into full swing), we felt it was only right to round up some of the local businesses that are baking their way into our hearts with fresh, doughy treats that will go down faster than you can say “Gimme the buns.”

So, without further ado, here are some local bakeries making you the best hot cross buns in Canberra – best enjoyed absolutely slathered in butter.

Did we miss a local favourite? Let us know at hello@hercanberra.com.au
