After all, it is the most important meal of the day. Here’s where to find a delicious breakfast on the southside of Canberra.
There’s something about going out for breakfast. Whether it’s the leisurely pace, the promise of barista-made coffee, or simply the joy of someone else cooking for you, breakfast outings have become a beloved ritual for many.
Luckily, from cosy neighbourhood cafés to bustling brunch spots with lines out the door, the southside has plenty of destinations worth setting your alarm for.
Covering both the south and inner south, pop these venues on your breakfast bucket list.

Serving modern Australian brunch food (led by a chef who brings experience from Sydney’s The Grounds of Alexandria), the menu is packed with mouthwatering dishes like Buffalo Burrata and classic French Toast with maple bacon.

Serving breakfast all day, Good Neighbour has become a popular location for those seeking a morning meal. From the team behind Gus’ Place in the city (if you know, you know), you’ll find savoury classics like the Mexican-inspired Huevos Sucios (Dirty Eggs) and Shakshouka.
And for those with a bit of a sweet tooth, it’s also the home of various flavoured matcha, New York-style chunky cookies and cheesecake! Just a warning: it’s walk-in only and you will probably have to wait for a table. But it’s well worth it.
