Here are the HerCanberra Team’s Ins and Outs for 2025. You’re welcome.
As we begin to seriously look to the year ahead and all the exciting things we have planned, we wanted to share what we’re taking with us in 2025 and what we’re leaving behind.
IN
- Matcha. Yes, we’re obsessed.
- Pilates, Yoga, and meditation. 2025 is the year of *zen*.
- Sunscreen.
- Hydration/Canberra water in general. Why? Because we have some of the best water in the country!
- Natural hair.
- Financial literacy (’cause knowing about money matters).
- Unplugging. Sometimes you just need to go and touch some grass.
- Intentional spending.
- Food for taste, not for status. Who cares if it was caught in the misty rivers of a faraway jungle if it tastes like the bottom of a shoe?
- SoFresh albums (particularly 2002 Summer. We said what we said).
- Doing things for your inner child.
- Shopping your wardrobe.
- Reading! But has it ever been out?
- Making the world a better place. It’s the only one we have.
OUT
- Unsolicited advice. We didn’t ask, so you don’t need to tell.
- Doom scrolling.
- Comparison.
- Burnout. 2025 is all about work-life balance, baby.
- Negative self-talk.
- People pleasing.
- Not using the nice plates.
- Fast fashion. But has it ever really been in?
- Impulse purchases.
- Staying in your comfort zone. Because growth is never comfortable!
- Junk food. 2025 is our wholefoods era.
- Saying ‘Yes’ when you mean ‘No’.
- Coke Zero (our founder Amanda disagrees, but the majority rules).
- Over caffeinating. Hearing colours is fun for about five seconds. Then you just feel shaky, sweaty, and even more stressed.
- Getting drunk. Do we even need to say more?
