Celebrate a BOSS Moment: Win big for a man who showed up

We all know someone who’s had a BOSS moment – and now’s your chance to celebrate him.
HerCanberra has partnered with Canberra Outlet to launch BOSS Moment – a chance to recognise the men in our lives who’ve demonstrated real leadership, confidence, resilience, or character when it mattered most.
Maybe it’s your partner who stepped up during a family crisis. Your brother who finally launched that business he’d been talking about for years. A colleague who championed you for a promotion. Your dad who’s shown you what integrity looks like. Or a mate who’s been there through thick and thin.
This isn’t about job titles or corner offices. It’s about the moments that show someone’s true character – the times they led by example, backed themselves, or showed up for others.

For the winning BOSS
- $2,000 BOSS Canberra Outlet gift card
- 4 x VIP tickets to a Canberra Capitals home game (2025–26 season)
- 4 x VIP passes to the Canberra Brave 2026 home game series opener
- A feature article on HerCanberra celebrating their story.
For you (the nominator)
- A $500 Canberra Outlet gift card as a thank you for nominating.
HOW THIS WILL WORK
We want you to nominate people worthy of celebration. From nominations received through our website and social channels, we will choose five finalists, each of whom will receive a VIP styling experience at BOSS Canberra Outlet, including a personal styling session and professional photoshoot in their new look.
The HerCanberra and Canberra Outlet teams will interview each of the finalists and we’ll publish their BOSS Moment stories in an article on our website and a post on our social media channels.
We’ll then turn the final vote over to our audience – the BOSS Moment that earns the most votes will win the grand prize!
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Tell us about a specific moment when your nominee really showed up. We want to hear about:
- a time they demonstrated leadership (at work, at home, in the community)
- a moment of confidence or courage that inspired you
- an act of resilience when things got tough
- how they’ve supported, championed, or mentored others, or
- the values they live by, not just talk about.
We’d love to hear about a specific moment or achievement rather than general character traits. Paint us a picture – help us understand why this BOSS moment (or moments) mattered.
HOW TO ENTER
Simply fill out the form below. You’ll need to share:
- Your details and your relationship to the nominee
- Their contact information
- The story of their BOSS moment (100-250 words).
Entries close 5 pm Monday 3 November.
Finalists will be chosen by the HerCanberra and Canberra Outlet teams based on the strength of the story and the impact of the moment described.
The grand winner will be determined by public vote through a Google Form on the HerCanberra website, and comments on the HerCanberra Instagram and Facebook accounts.
