Tastings, blooms and a selfie heaven awaits at Canberra Fair 2025

Want to spend your Sunday sipping regional wines while wrapping your own bouquet and snapping Instagram-worthy photos under a sky of florals and chandeliers?

Planning a wedding, milestone celebration or corporate event and need some serious inspiration?

Canberra Fair returns on Sunday 27 July with all the tastings, photo opportunities and interactive experiences you could wish for – and this year, it’s happening in the most spectacular setting yet.

Moving from the National Convention Centre to the historic Old Parliament House, the 2025 Fair will transform the elegant Members’ Rooms into what can only be described as celebration central, all brought to life by the creative mind of founder Danielle Cleary of Danielle Cleary Events.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Events at Old Parliament House for 2025,” she says.

“Together, we’ll be transforming the historic Members’ Rooms into a celebration of creativity, connection, and inspiration. It’s the perfect setting for a fresh take on showcasing the best of weddings, events, and lifestyle.”

And as they get ready to welcome the crowds, we’ve done the hard work for you and found three things that you can’t miss (although it all sounds fun and fabulous).

Sip your way around the region

Let’s start with the good stuff – the tastings. This year’s line-up features some absolute gems from across the Canberra region. Contentious Character will be pouring their distinctive drops while Cypher Brewing Co brings their craft beer expertise to the mix. These aren’t just quick samples either – you’re getting a proper taste of what makes each producer special, all included in your $10 entry ticket.

Whether you’re planning a wedding reception, corporate function, or that milestone birthday you’ve been dreaming about, there will be sure to be something to treat your tastebuds.

Pick, wrap, perfect: Your DIY bouquet experience

One of the most interactive experiences at this year’s Fair has to be the Bloom Bar CBR cart. Instead of just admiring beautiful arrangements from afar, here you can pick your own stems and wrap the perfect bouquet. It’s hands-on, it’s personal, and it’s exactly the kind of experience that makes events memorable.

The concept is simple – you choose the flowers that speak to you, learn some wrapping techniques, and walk away with something beautiful you created yourself. For anyone planning a wedding or event, it’s also the perfect opportunity to experiment with colour palettes and flower combinations in a relaxed, fun environment.

Instagram goals? Achieved

Now, let’s talk about the photo opportunities, because this year’s Fair is serving up some seriously Instagram-worthy moments. The centrepiece has to be the installation featuring a sky of florals and chandeliers – it’s the kind of backdrop that makes every photo look like it belongs in a magazine.

But the photo ops don’t stop there. From the moment you step through the Living Carpet entrance, you’ll be greeted by Gold Roving Roses and Mirrored Ballerinas. These aren’t just decorative elements – they’re interactive experiences designed to make you feel like you’re part of something special. The roving fashion models, styled by Sposa Group Bridal, Australian Lucy Laurita Designer, and Honeysuckle & Lace, aren’t just there to look fabulous either. They’re offering live photo tips to help you strike the perfect pose for your next special occasion.

Bigger than ever before, Danielle says she is excited about the visual impact of this year’s event.

“We’re all about creative innovation and meaningful collaboration. From our roving fashion to interactive installations, we’re focused on producing events that are both memorable and ever-evolving,” she explains.

“It’s a full-sensory day of inspiration and delight.”

And if that’s not enough, the Blinged Events high tea-styled zone provides another picture-perfect moment while you enjoy coffee, cakes, and cookies. It’s the kind of setting that makes even the most casual photo look effortlessly elegant. Also, keep an eye out for Sydney Prop Specialists – known for bringing events to life with quirky items like giant unicorns and cupcakes, it’s a moment you won’t want to miss.

And that’s just the beginning

While the tastings, blooms, and selfie spots are definitely the stars of the show, there’s so much more to discover. You’ll find everything from handcrafted jewellery to champagne towers, glamping displays to DJ setups – all representing the incredible diversity of our local wedding and events scene.

Explaining that The Canberra Fair has evolved over the years reflect the dynamic wedding and events industry, she’s excited for visitors to enjoy the unforgettable day of experiences with plenty of interactive, delicious, and photogenic moments along the way.

“Celebrations are becoming more intimate, personalised, and experience-led. From elopements to creative corporate functions and retreats, people are thinking outside the box,” she says.

“Canberra Fair has evolved alongside this, offering inspiration not just on Fair day but year-round through our website directory, social media, and content – becoming a trusted go-to for anyone planning their next special occasion.”

At just $10 entry – which includes all those tastings, competitions, giveaways, and interactive experiences, plus the chance to win a showstopping chandelier package from @chandelierstodiefor – it’s possibly the best value Sunday you’ll have all year.

Whether you’re newly engaged, planning a corporate retreat, or simply love beautiful things and want to support local businesses, Canberra Fair 2025 promises to be a day of pure inspiration wrapped up in the most delightful package.
