Shop from She…for me?

There are not enough margaritas in this world to make Christmas shopping easy.
I want to enjoy it, really I do. I want to take time, to savour the delight of finding just the right gift.
But there is full-time work and family and the thousand other things that happen, that means this year, like every other, I am hitting the shops at a jog. Mild panic deepening the WTF crease between my eyebrows so much I could hold my credit card there.
I am zooming across the internet, flying monkeys in my wake, muttering spells and shying away from plain water. No wait, that’s another witch – although I have Granny Weatherwax’ caution in my head: every manic shopping rush teeters my hysterical laughter closer to an all-out cackle.

Even worse I’m swapping internet shopping panic for cold fear that one of the sites will be a con (honey, you should see the Christmas dress I bought online – many little plastics died to make that model).
What to do? What to do? Before you hit the pre-mix cocktails lurking in a corner of the fridge, breathe. In through the nose, out through the mouth. Repeat. Better?
There are Australian shopping sites – and in a double whammy there is one I’d like to direct you to that not only has lovely items for sale, the money goes to a great cause – girls.

I will be writing another article about the wonderful work done by She Rescue Home in Cambodia soon – but for now, I want to give you a gift. Guilt-free shopping with lovely, well-made products shipped from a warehouse right here in Australia so you can still shop for Christmas AND be safe in the knowledge that you are helping keep a family together. You’re welcome.
The stock on the website may vary a little, but what is shown will not only be crafted with love, it will be made in a modest hut in a village where a woman is staying with her family rather than moving away for work.
It will often be made by a mother who is working to understand that the daughter she thought lost can be returned to her. It will be from a family going through counselling to understand how to accept that daughter back as brave and kind and strong.

The items you see in the flat lays in this article are all items I’ve bought for my family, my friends and (cough) myself. I know, I know but sometimes the person who reeeeally needs a gift is you and the things are so pretty, and so empowering and, oh alright. Bah humbug!
