Braddon’s Pink Ink boutique unveiled its new look this week at an event with guest speaker, editor of Harper’s Bazaar, Kellie Hush.
With about 50 people on the guest list, the event brought together some of Canberra’s most stylish women. We chatted to a few of them about what they were wearing, their favourite brands and boutique shopping.
Sarah, Red Hill
“I’m wearing a jumpsuit from Romance Was Born, one of my favourite designers. I’ve been coming to Pink Ink for many years, and have some amazing, unique pieces from here. My favourite brands are Max Mara and Ellery. Boutique shopping is a complete indulgence, it’s almost as if you have to dedicate a whole day to it.”
Catherine, Melbourne
“I’m wearing a dress from Pink Ink tonight. What I love about boutique shopping and Pink Ink in particular, is that they know their clients really well and they give really honest opinions. It’s a much more personal experience and there’s a lot of trust there – you end up with a much more diverse and rich wardrobe.”
Supriya, Weetangera
“My shoes are from Valentino, my clutch is Louis Vuitton and my skirt is Zara. I’m loving this event because it’s highlighting how important boutique shopping is, especially for Canberra. I love being able to walk into a store and have that sense of intimacy.”
Jessica, O’Malley
“My dress is from Rebel Muse; it’s got shorts underneath. I love how exclusive it feels in here now and that’s what boutique shopping should be, it adds that finesse to Canberra.”
Alicia, Dunlop
“I’m wearing Rebel Muse tonight. As the owner of a boutique shop myself I’m very much an advocate of boutiques because it’s an experience you can never get online. My favourite brand at Pink Ink would have to be Ellery, they have such stunning pieces.”
