PSA: UNIQLO has opened in the Canberra Centre today

For those who have been eagerly anticipating the opening of the Japanese clothing brand UNIQLO in Canberra, the long wait is finally over.

Finally bringing their minimalist, bright attire and slimline puffer jackets to Canberra Centre and breathing new life into the Ainslie Avenue-adjacent section that previously housed Target, today (Thursday 26 October) UNIQLO will finally open its doors. Known for its brand philosophy of ‘LifeWear’ (apparel that comes from the Japanese values of simplicity, quality, and longevity) and with stores located around the world, the thrilling new addition has had fashion lovers aflutter since the news broke that they would bring their first store to Canberra.

Confirmed to span over 1210 square metres, what makes the opening of this retail store so exciting is each piece of clothing offers a touch of modern elegance that can easily become a building block of individual style – basically, making UNIQLO the OG creator of the capsule wardrobe (just with more warmth and more lightness, rather than basic beige, black and white).

And you can bet that the Canberra location will have a range of LifeWear apparel for men, women, children, AND babies. Did someone say matching family outfits?

Along with the LifeWear collection, UNIQLO Canberra will also be stocking the latest 23 Spring/Summer range, the now iconic linen collection (including some of their premium 100 percent linen items which will be a must for keeping cool this summer), workwear essentials, and even UNIQLO’s bestselling t-shirt: the U AIRism Cotton Oversized Crew Neck Half Sleeve T-Shirt.

And for those who are searching for the perfect graphic t-shirt that ticks all the boxes of stylish, comfortable, and fun, there will also be a space dedicated to the UNIQLO graphic T-shirt brand “UT” – a collection of graphic tees that celebrate pop culture, key moments, or icons across the globe.
