Posted on

There’s something about the charming rural escape of Bungendore.

Often overlooked as a road trip destination by Canberrans searching for a slice of country life, this year we’re calling it—it’s the ultimate spring road trip destination.

Because from strolling through galleries and gift shops to eating amazing food and experiencing unique seasonal activities (including the Bungendore Arts Trail), there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained as the weather warms.

Here’s your guide on where to eat, play, and stay. It’s well worth the trip.

Have a feast at Pig and Pinot

Make special plans for this one-night-only feast of all things porky. With three courses and matched wines from Contentious Character, they had us the moment we saw ‘twice cooked Pork Belly and Smoked Suckling Pig’ served with Pinot Noir on the menu. We’re pig fans (…sorry).

Saturday 23 September, 6:30 pm – 10 pm | 810 Norton Road, Wamboin | Book here.

Taste your way through the Bungendore Wine Trail
