Calling all Dancing Queens and Super Troupers – ABBA Day is on its way
Posted on
Trust us – you’ll be saying ‘Gimme, gimme, gimme’ to this ultimate ABBA day out.
There’s nothing like the feeling of belting out an ABBA song on the dance floor – it’s one of the top universal experiences (alongside birth, death and taxes). Since 1972, people have been unable to resist booging to the bouncy Europop that took the world by storm, making many a dancing queen.
But Hopscotch in Braddon is taking things up a notch this November with their ABBA Day Party. Hosted in collaboration with Daytime Disco, it promises to be a glitter-filled afternoon of pure pop perfection.
In short: ABBA fans, this is your Waterloo.
Kicking off at 3 pm and discoing until 8 pm, expect all things ABBA – including wall-to-wall anthems, shimmering lights, tinsel wigs and more sequins than you can shake a tambourine at. And along with playing all the greatest hits and hidden gems that made ABBA a global sensation, you’ll also jive to dancefloor-fillers from the disco era. Think of it as your mini-Mamma Mia moment.
Operating on a festival-style ticketing model, the earlier you buy your ticket to the ABBA Day Party the cheaper it will be – and with 70 per cent already sold out, you’d better be fast so you can have the time of your life.
The event is strictly 18 plus (sorry to all those who are young, sweet and only 17), and tickets for Daytime Disco events are non-refundable, on the condition that they don’t move or cancel it.
Whether you’re a lifelong ABBA fan, looking out for a place to go, or in the mood for a dance, take a chance on this.
Can anyone else feel a beat from a tambourine?
