Beautiful Brows: the bigger, the better
Posted on
Once upon a time brow trends were all about having super thin wispy brows. The thought of having big bushy unkempt-looking ‘caterpillars’ sent shudders down women’s spines. Thank God the 90s are over!
Today, brow trends are much more considerate and realistic. We’ve gone back to basics and are embracing bigger brows rather than plucking them within an inch of their life.
We can thank people like Lily Collins and Cara Delevingne who are paving the way in the natural brow look, allowing us to stay on-trend with minimal brow maintenance.
DIY
Start with growing your brows out – this could take week,s or possibly even months, depending on how long and how much brow hair you’ve had removed.
The secret is embracing your natural brow shape rather than trying to turn them into something they’re not. Cara Delevingne is a great example of this as she doesn’t have a high arch in her brow like we see in beauty videos; she has totally embraced her natural shape.
Look at the natural shape and curve of your brows and remove only the strays..you know, the few that might be sitting under the arch of your brow or just above it.
Then you need to fill them in. I recommend finding a brow powder or gel a slightly lighter shade than your natural colour and again follow your natural brow line.
