Whether you’re looking to try something completely new or reconnect with your artistic practice, from scrapbooking to tipsy sketching, there’s something for every skill level and interest.

Make Art, Eat Cake

Enjoying a coffee and a cake in one of Canberra’s most beloved creative spaces? Sign us up. Join award-winning artist and qualified visual art teacher Marianne Mettes for a fun and relaxing morning playing with texture, colour and creativity. Ideal for all skill levels, you’ll walk away with your own finished artwork, meet some likeminded people and get to enjoy a little sweet treat. What’s not to love?

ArtFullness Women’s Art Circle

Designed for women of all ages, this monthly art circle is all about creating a safe, nurturing space where women from all walks of life come together to create, connect, and belong. Using art to highlight the importance of community (along with the various mental health benefits of creating), you won’t know what you’ll be doing until you arrive with every month looking different. And with a per centage of proceeds going towards building an art centre for indigenous women in Colombia, you’ll be doing good while creating something meaningful.

Paint and Chat

Looking for something more chill? This two-hour visual art workshop might be for you. Designed to be fun and social, during the evening you’ll learn easy, effective techniques to build an engaging composition using a variety of materials. By the end you’ll walk away with your very own artwork – and maybe even a new friend. All you need to do is bring yourself!

Scrap Society

Inviting participants to get crafty for three hours via scrapbooking, junk journalling or collaging, this club isn’t just about getting creative – it’s also about finding connection. Hosting a Collage Night with Bigger Things Club, go along to spend an evening collaging and mood boarding for the rest of 2025. Along with providing a wide range of scrapbooking and collaging supplies (including a custom Bigger Things Club x Scrap Society postcard), a custom conversation starters card, and more, a full charcuterie spread, other light bites and non-alcoholic drinks will be included with your ticket, so you can eat and drink while you scrap and yap!

Life Drawing and Lingerie

Delicate lingerie meets artistic expression during this collaboration between The Tipsy Sketching Club and local Canberra designer Holly Lulu Intimates. Across two hours, models will pose in Holly Lulu’s vibrant lingerie designs, with select poses featuring full lingerie outfits or artistic nudes draped in whimsical lace. Blending the best of fashion illustration and life drawing in a relaxed, sip-friendly environment, sketchers of all skill levels are invited to attend and there will be Holly Lulu Intimates items available for purchase on the night! With plenty of breaks for drinks, food and laughter, it will be an unforgettable evening.
