Fashion lovers, get excited – Australia’s biggest bulk vintage market is coming this week
Posted on
Start your engines and grab your credit cars, because Australia’s only vintage shopping event where you purchase by the kilo is coming to Canberra.
You better get ready to run to Kingston, cause you won’t want to miss this.
A unique experience where clothes are sold by weight rather than individually priced items, the ticketed event is hitting town this Friday 30 and Saturday 31 August at The Fitters Workshop on Wentworth Avenue in Kingston (next to where the Old Bus Depot Markets are held).

Starting with a VIP showing on Friday night followed by general entry to the public on Saturday, if you need a designer fix or are looking to update your spring/summer wardrobe, this is your chance to go thrifting without breaking the bank.
But how does it work? Reserve your preferred time slot with a ticket to the price of $5, to guarantee entry to the VIP drop or pay $2.75 to get into the Saturday sale. From there, it’s pretty straightforward. Priced at $50 per kilo, each item weighed individually regardless of type or brand, making it affordable for all fashionistas.

In the name of fairness, racks are replenished with new stock throughout the night, so you’ll always have the chance for a first look at fresh items! Worried about variety?
Each sale collates over seven thousand kilos at any given time along 250 meters of clothing racks! Everything from denim and leather jackets, to nostalgic jerseys and trendy sweatshirts. Kilo Sale events are designed to promote sustainability by giving pre-loved clothing a second chance.
Whether you’re style conscious, a sustainability advocate, or a bargain hunter, organisers say we can expect a memorable and rewarding shopping experience.
It’s a triple thread!
