According to Fergus McGhie, President of the Canberra District Wines Industry Association, this year’s festival is particularly special. “This year’s Stomp Festival is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet. The 2025 vintage has been exceptional so far… There’s a real buzz among our winemakers this season,” he shares.

The timing couldn’t be better for visitors curious about winemaking. “It’s a great time of year to get behind the scenes while we’re making wine,” McGhie explains. “Whether you’re here for the wine, the food, or the entertainment, it’s the perfect opportunity to experience everything our region has to offer.”

Festival highlights promise something for every palate and interest. Wine aficionados can play Winemaker for a Day, gaining hands-on experience in the craft of creating the perfect drop. For those with a sweet tooth, chocolate tastings and workshops offer indulgent pairings and family-friendly experiences.

Music lovers can enjoy live performances while picnicking amidst stunning vineyard vistas, while the curious can participate in tasting experiences designed to test and expand your palate. And of course, no Stomp Festival would be complete without traditional grape stomping sessions and expertly guided cheese & wine masterclasses.
